Yum Yum Yum

Thatcher is growing like a weed, but the pediatrician thinks his progress has slowed down a bit (he just grew more inside than out apparently) so we decided to start trying to eat a few "solid" foods to help things add up a little more quickly. I wasn't sure how it was going to go but he so far LOVES green beans, peas, avocado mixed with bananas (he was NOT impressed with plain avocado), butternut squash, and peaches. I try to make as much of his food fresh and homemade as I can and so far he is loving what we have come up with. He is turning into such a big boy!

May

May is a big month in our family. My birthday, Aaron's birthday, Uncle Mike's birthday, and a few wedding anniversaries, plus Memorial Day. We try and celebrate each individual event but sometimes they get all bundled together.

For my birthday Aaron and Thatcher brought me flowers at work during lunch! I love when my two favorite people get to come visit me at lunch. :) It makes my day a so much better!

For Aaron's birthday we got him a bunch of balloons and taped different pictures of all the fun things we have done the past few years to the strings (thank you Pintrest for the idea). We also got him some of his favorite snacks. (Some how I didn't take a single picture so you will just have to imagine how awesome it was!) 

For Memorial Day we have a family tradition of visiting the different cemeteries where we have family members. We leave a few flowers, tidy up the headstones and share some of our favorite memories. It has been one of my favorite traditions! We live close enough to the cemetery where my dad, and great-grandparents Larsen and a few other family members are so we walked over and met up with my mom and Grandpa and Grandma Campbell. Thatcher was jabbering up a storm the whole time we were there! It was so fun to visit and think about all the blessings we have as an eternal family. 

Shoshone Falls

We decided to meet up with Aaron's parents for lunch in Twin Falls and then visit with some friends. We haven't been to Shoshone Falls in a while so we decided to meet up there. The park is always so shady and beautiful, even if the falls weren't that spectacular this time of year it was still fun to go and visit (and of course take some pictures).

First Mothers Day

I had no idea how blessed, grateful, and overwhelmed I would feel. I have dreamed of this day for years, and now I get to enjoy this sweet boy everyday! I LOVE being his mommy. I love seeing him grow and learn new things, I even love getting up with him at night. He is such a miracle baby and such a blessing.

Three months! I thought we would do a quick photo shoot to capture our growing boy! I am still trying to figure out our lighting so some are a little dark, hopefully the next set will be better.

McCall

The weekend after Lara's graduation her in-laws invited us, Lara and Mike, and our Mom to hang out with them for the weekend at their time share condo in McCall. It was a fun weekend away and we love traveling with my family. It was a short two day trip but it was just what we needed.

The Condo had a semi-heated pool so we decided to let Thatcher take a little swim with us. He didn't seem to mind much, but he got cold quickly. I think if the water had been warmer he would have loved it.

We had so much fun and hope to spend more time in McCall as a family. Thanks to Lara, Mike, and the Feik family for inviting us!

Baby's First Road Trip- Rexburg!

Easter weekend my sister Lara graduated from BYU-ID in Rexburg. It was Thatcher's first road trip! Luckily we had Grandma as the backseat entertainment committee and planned to stop about half way at Grandpa and Grandma Fullers for lunch and to spend about an hour outside the car. We left Boise about 7:30 in the morning and made it to Pocatello around 11:00 and then to Rexburg a few hours later. Thatcher did great in the car and slept most of the way. Hopefully that continues as he gets older. 

Graduation consisted of two events- the first one had a few speakers and musical numbers, then we had a little break and headed off to another building on campus. Each college was in a different smaller location to have student speakers and to watch them walk and receive their diplomas (or diploma covers to be more accurate). Thatcher slept in the Moby wrap for most of the time we were on campus. 

Grandpa and Grandma Beal were able to sneak out of the MTC in Provo, UT a few hours early and attend the second part of graduation. Lara was one of the speakers from her college, it was fun to listen to her and be there to support her. Grandpa and Grandma were able to spend a few hours with us before they had to hit the road, over the following week they drove to Long Island, where they will be living for the next year serving their mission. (This might be one of my favorite pictures!)

Thatcher's first Easter was spent at Aunt Lara's and Uncle Mike's. The Easter bunny even found us there and brought him a new book, some fun spring colored binkies, and some new toys that attach to his car seat. One of the baby shower gifts we received was this cute onezie, bib, and hat set (notice he isnt wearing a hat? He hated it!). I wasn't sure if it would fit but it was pretty darn cute! The pictures are little chicks popping out of decorated eggs and it says "little peep". :) 

We decided that we needed to decorate eggs for Easter -but I didn't really want to travel with a bunch of boiled eggs or get messy with dye... so we made egg shaped sugar cookies and decorated them with Mike's nieces, they were visiting for the weekend too. It might be our new tradition- so yummy!

I am so proud of my sister! She has worked so hard to get through school. I cant wait for them to move to Boise this winter!
